 Mike
Asquino:
The
Man Behind the Music
For over
40 years, Mike Asquino has contributed to the American music industry
landscape. As a musician, singer/songwriter, producer, promoter,
publisher and manager,
he has
received over 30 gold records. In
2003, Billboard Magazine described Mike as "an American Pop Icon".
His collaborations
over the years span many genres of music, and many of the industry's
brightest performers. His most well known writing and producing credits
include "Taxi", "Commuter Blues" and
"Good Morning, Good Morning". Also a seasoned veteran of the advertising
jingle
business, Mike has written
lyrics
and music
for some of radio
and television's all-time favorite spots.
To share
his experiences with as many people as possible, he lectures on music
writing, and is the founder of "Music on the Green" which
brings music to benefit those in need and help organizations such
as the American Cancer Society, World Hunger Relief, and Feed the
Children.
Currently
Mike performs solo engagements and plays with his band as "Mike
Asquino and Friends".
